Choose the VeriSign® SSL Certificate that fits your business and secure up to 49 additional domain names by adding them to the subject alternative name (SAN) field during enrollment. SAN Certificates allow you to secure a primary domain and then add up to 19 additional domains to the certificate's subject alternative name field. For example, you can secure all these domains with a single SAN Certificate as well as server names, intranet and .local names:
You can use SAN functionality for:
- Servers in their Intranet by name (example "server.local" or "faxtool")
- Hostnames (example - mailserver)
- NON-PUBLIC, (i.e., 192.x - like SSL 123)
VeriSign gives you the greatest flexibility with your choice of encryption strength and authentication, including Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) and Extended Validation (EV). SAN capability is an optional feature that can be enabled for any VeriSign Secure Site Certificates. Simply, add SAN to your certificate at the time of purchase or when renewing or upgrading an existing certificate. When you purchase a SAN Certificate, the price equals the cost of the base certificate plus the following fee for each additional domain included in the SAN field:
