Installation Instructions for Lotus Domino 5.x
This document provides instructions for installing
SSL Certificates. If you are unable to use these instructions for your
server, VeriSign recommends that you contact your software vendor or
an organisation that supports Lotus Domino 5.x.
Premium and Intranet Edition SSL Certificates
If you are installing a Managed PKI for SSL
Premium Edition or a Managed PKI for SSL Intranet Certificate, you need
to first install the intermediate CA (‘intermediate.crt’) provided by
your administrator.
- Save
the intermediate CA to a txt file on your server.
- Go to
the Administration
interface of your Web server.
- Go to
the Security
configuration section of your server
- Click
on Receive
Certificate.
- You will
need to specify your current keyring file and pass phrase and ask it
to install the root certificate you saved on your hard drive.
Managed PKI for SSL Administrators: how to
find your Intermediate
CA.
Install the SSL Certificate
When your Managed PKI for SSL Administrator
has approved your request you will receive an email from VeriSign that
contains your certificate. If the certificate is an attachment (Cert.cer),
you can use the file. If the certificate is in the body of the email,
copy and paste it into a text file (such as OriginalCert.txt) using
Vi or Notepad. Do not use Microsoft Word or other word processing programs
that may add characters. Confirm that there are no extra lines or spaces
in the file.
- From
the Domino Administrator, click on the Files tab.
- Open
the Server
Certificate Admin application.
- Click
on Install
Certificate into Key Ring.
- Enter
the file name for the key ring that will store this certificate. You
created this key ring file when you created the server certificate request.
- Either
paste the certificate text in the next field or, if you saved the certificate
as a file, detach the file to your hard drive and then choose File in the Certificate Source field. Enter the file name in
the File name field.
- Click
on Merge
Certificate into Key Ring.
- Enter
the password for the server key ring file and then click on OK to approve the merge.
- Configure
your SSL port to 443.
